Is that necessary to buy needle and syringe for hydroxo ampoule which is on its way and be delivered soon. Currently I use half inch insulin syringe but its needle can't be replaced and since I draw up from multi dose ampoule there is no need for filter needle.
Can I use the same needle for injection or I have to buy a kit of syringe, needle and filter needle? Or can I use regular needle to draw up vial from ampoule?
The reason I don't want to buy new syringe is my planned flight and I can't take syringe in my luggage. In the meantime I don't have doctor note for my ampoules too so I'll keep them in check in luggage I hope nothing bad happens.

It is certainly possible , but I don’t know how . You can withdraw the B12 by turning the ampoule upside down without spilling the contents , and without the needle touching the sides and bottom of the glass ampoule, which would make the needle blunt. I tried it once and lost the contents of the ampoule !( but I’m really clumsy ) So instructions must be followed carefully ! The design of the ampoule prevents loss of contents when the technique is used correctly. There are videos on utube . So best view those and use the technique . That would save you buying a long withdrawing needle , injection needle and a separate syringe .
Thank you for your guidance. In the meantime I tried to find filter blunt needle for later on, but it's currently unavailable and just plain blunt fill needle can be bought which is G18 without 5 micron filter. Does it work like filter needle? Or without filter it's better just buy regular needle?
I use an insulin syringe no problem. I just lie the ampule on it’s side then I observe which way the chamfer is on the needle point and turn it to match the slope of the ampule. This way the point won’t get damaged. Then I slowly draw up to fill the syringe. I inject slowly into my thigh looking to avoid any blood vessels. P.s. have you checked your iron levels?
But I'm going to get Panpharma B12 depot ampoule soon that's why I'm asking for draw up by insulin syringe. Due to my travel plan I don't want to buy new syringes. I can't take them because I don't have doctor note.
As plastic syringes won't show up on scanners, does it matter? The needles might be more of a problem but presumably no more of a problem than the insulin ones?
Get 23G x 1 inch needles or finer (higher number gauge) and 2ml syringes. Use the same size and sort of needle for drawing up as injecting but swap to a new needle for doing your jab in case you have blunted the one you used for drawing up.
Please stop making everything more complicated for yourself - it causes you stress and isn't necessary.
