Thyroid goitre ~ low folic acid

Hi not sure this is the right place ,

I have a thyroid goitre had a blood test , only come back that I am low in Folic acid , have been given 5mg folic acid tablets , Just wondering if anyone else has had this, as been on it for 6 weeks and still no change in how I feel or getting smaller.

hope someone on TUK can help (note you have also posted there. I haven't heard of folate leading to thyroid goitre.Don't know if you have seen this NHS article on goitre

it doesn't make any mention of folate deficiency as a potential cause.

Thank you yep have looked and lots of people have said folate doesn’t happened with a thyroid goitre. So I am interested if anyone else has had this before, as still waiting for my ultrasound been 6weeks so far.
