HoloTC and MMA results.... your opinions please !

Hi folks

Just got my results from my latest tests... I have B12 injections every 3 weeks but have the feeling that I need more (nerve damage etc.)

Here in Switzerland the GPs are not so great at interpreting the results, so I would like your opinions please.

From my little knowledge and research I see that my HoloTC level is a little on the low side, but apparantly my MMA levels are all ok.

Vitamine B12150 - 750 pmol/l = 290

Holotranscobalamin> 50 pmol/l = 44.0

methylmalonic acid (urine)< 30.7 µmol/l = 16.77

Methylmalonic acid/ Creatinine< 3.55 mmol/mol = 1.62

Creatinine concentration (urine)> 0.2 g/l = 1.17

Creatinine-conc. urine > 1.8 mmol/l = 10.4

The MMA results look okay and no evidence of kidney problems. So your cells have enough B12 to recycle MMA.Holo-T/Active B12 does look a bit low - serum B12 difficult to interpret but does also look low for someone on injections - probably pointint to needing B12 more frequently
