Hi everyone, Im a pernicious anemia sufferer who for the most part through lifestyle changes and determination have my pa under control for over 10 years. I'm here to hear experiences with the various vax brands, I'm not an anti vaxxer, I want to work and travel but also want to make an informed decision.
Have you had your Vaccine shots with ... - Pernicious Anaemi...
Have you had your Vaccine shots with P.A?
Have had my 2 Pfizer vaccines . No trouble at all . No pains or aches -nothing .
Thanks for sharing that wedgewood

PA isn't a condition that is associated with any increased risks from vaccines, as far as I am aware.
First shot of AstraZenica done, second due in a few weeks. Had some chills and shakes about 10 hours after the jab but they didn't last long. Others have had no reactions at all to AZ.
2 Astra Zeneca, no side effects at all .
2 AZ zero side effects
Two AZ jabs. Sore arm after both. Felt achy for a few hours after the second. No probs.
Me too! Slightly sore arm but better than the flu jab.
2xAZ 1st one aches and chills and really bad headache started about 24 hours later lasted about 2 days. 2nd one no problems. I did have my b12 jab the same day as 2nd one and upped from 1 a week to eod before and after for a week just in case it affected the levels.
I had Astra Zeneca my daughter had Pfizer both no worse than regular flu shots
I got the Johnson and Johnson in May and had no side effects except for the feeling of extreme relief because I could stop worrying about dying from covid.
I had covid in the New Year.
I had 1st Pfizer vaccine about 6 weeks later. The next day, felt like the start of covid return, which I wasn't expecting. Shivers, joint pain, headaches and face pain, temperature and sleeping a lot. But this only lasted for 2 days. The 2nd vaccine much easier: I knew what to expect -but it wasn't as bad and only lasted for a day.
When I asked the retired GP who administered both my 1st and 2nd vaccine whether a pattern had now emerged, she said no, they couldn't identify one. Anyone might have possible reaction to either vaccine, 1st or 2nd jab, made no real difference. Just luck.
I was really glad that I got vaccinated.
I had both Pfizer shots; had a sore arm with the first, a 6 hr. flu with the second. I am delighted and relieved to be vaccinated. Take care!
I had the 1-dose J&J vaccine. Aside from the strange feeling of the cold going it, it was unremarkable!
AZ x2 sore arm but nothing else
Thanks for all of the perspective above, its really helpful. Im also understanding here that I will most likely be offerred the AZ jab as I am over 40 and that is where my highest concerns are as there is an overwhelming amount of bad press about that particular one. Fingers crossed for pfizer
