Not me. But they have the BVDVA stamp. This is the trade organisation for German online pharmacies.

Thankyou ☺

Yes ,they are a reputable and registered German online pharmacy , and the Rotexmedica B12 depot ampoules are a very good price , and they do deliver to U.K. ——BUT ,———- their courier (DHL) costs €45.00 to U.K. . Obviously a small pharmacy and doesn’t do enough business to get a lower price from a courier.

Thankyou. I'm glad they are reputable. I've had a bad time recently and my iron levels are very low. I knew also that I needed my B12 injection 3 weeks earlier but because the blood test came back fine the doctor wouldn't give me it so I spent most of the last 3 weeks in bed. Got my B12 this past Monday and the difference is incredible. That's why I've decided to buy and use as needed. I'm so glad you are all here. I will let you know how I get on☺

Yes , a good decision . That’s a decision many of us have had to take to keep well and functioning . Best of luck . Yes do let us know how you get on .

Thankyou I will. I'm sure most of us have come up against a wall of strained negative attitudes from doctors who won't listen in spite of telling them about the research findings of reputable researchers. It's unbelievable how the atmosphere changes to obvious blanking. Hopefully for the sake of all, they will listen someday soon.

I sometimes wonder if the diagnoses of b12 deficiency is supposed to make us better, not the injection it self.

All the pharmacies that I linked to in my post about where to get B12 were certified by the German government. I also cross checked the pharmacies against the register and checked the certificates going in and out of the sites.

The fact is that P.A. is a condition treatable with a very cheap B12 injection . Beyond proving that injections correct the deficiency , research is lacking , as we know to our cost (I don’t mean financial ! Although it does in many ways ) If P.A .were a only treatable with a patented pharmaceutical drug , doctors would be courted and would well -informed about it .As it is ,P.A. is a “Cinderella “

condition , which must cost the NHS and the country millions , with untreated and under - treated patients being ill , unable to work .etc etc . So thank goodness for the P.A.S. , which helps us .

But of course , there are others out there suffering because they don’t have access to the internet , or have any devices to connect to it . It really upsets me to think about it . I’m now not at the mercy of the doctors who are ignorant about P.A. Thank you Martyn Hooper and the members of this forum .

That is all so true. Thankyou so much indeed for Martyn Hooper and the PAS and for everyone here who helps us all. I'm so grateful to you.

This is a grave concern, when my older mum started developing dementia type symptoms and became weak and depressed the gp did a memory test and decided it was dementia and said ill refer to memory clinic for diagnosis and treatment to slow disease down. I requested he checked her b12 and other bloods and her b12 and folate were tanked. How many other people don’t have internet or someone to say hold on please check this! I just buy my own b12 now to fight the doctors became stressful and futile plus I was labelled a difficult patient 😡

Lurcher-lady profile image
Lurcher-lady in reply to Parlay

Same here. I never went to the GP much until b12 deficiency reared it’s head and the doctors were lovely if I needed them. Now, after having trouble getting them to believe me, their smiles drop as soon as they look at the screen. There’s obviously a flag that I am a difficult patient. Wish I could see it but they turn the screen away.

That's horrible .Woukd really unsettle me.

My Gp once said when I had to deal with another ...

"They won't refuse YOU and grinned

Nothing ese

That gave me a horrid feeling.

I know of these alerts as used to wotk with systom1 one if the many it systems used.

If used properly its tk you'd benefit.

But no doubt a 'secret odd ' amongst doctors too.

Or am i being paranoid 🤔

Can addle your brain. I read too many unsaid vibes .

Was my job and I cant ignore them.

I woujd ask outright what they have seen.

Or puzzled by on ' the screen

Can do without all that.

What is amazing is the medics treat you like you are well .

Ironically you manage tk get there on a 'better day, to make the journey stick up gor yourself.

If at all possible

My mum a yes person used to respect the Gps . Same practice since 1959.

She won't go now as she says a waste if time and energy.

Sad and very worrying .

My friend who now has terminal cancer (not B12 related post) asked for her notes to be made available via her oncologist. She is marked by the GP as ‘difficult’, because she has always questioned her treatments. Incredibly sad, as all she has ever done is discuss her treatment in more depth than may be usual 😪

Nackapan profile image
Nackapan in reply to Lurcher-lady

Yes I imagine that's on mine. I question everything as want to understand.

Mum polar opposite and was ill with dementia like symptoms.

B12 had been stopped and before that blood pressure medication needed reducing to half the doses she was on.

So you cant seem to win either way.

I'm probably labelled at her surgery as interfering daughter !!

Exhausting.

Very sorry to hear of your friends diagnosis .

I have lost a few friends now .

All I could do was weekly visit my dear late friend wherever she was .

Very difficult with no verbal clues as I felt at times stepping in to her space as she had no control .

On one occasion as i sat there talking .

I said I was going yo get a drink abd if her eyes were closed on my return j would go as I might be driving her up the wall with my chatter.

To my surprise on return she'd heaved herself up the bed a bit .

Managed 3 words .

"Don't go yet "

Last thing I heard her say.

Lived for quite a while longer but I never missed the slot i was given.

Very sad .

Hope your friend gets that label removed.

Hope she gets the care she needs .

Very difficult.

It's down to the lack of skills of the medic.

Shame on them.

You take care

.

That is so sad and her doctor must be so lacking in compassion which many seem to be when it comes to B12. I really am sorry to hear about your friend 🤗

Maybe somebody who has very recently received a B12 supply will answer and be able to keep you up to date on who is currently still selling to the UK and who is reputable, efficient, reasonable - and translatable ! If not, try asking "Anyone know which German company is still supplying to the UK ? " on a new post.

I think we still have a few choices, but haven't had to buy any recently.

Thankyou. I did find that fliegende-pillen does send to UK but their shipping is expensive. I've ordered some from them anyway until hopefully Versandapo.de will start sending again. I will let you know how it goes. Wedgwood in a reply above said they are a reputable pharmacy so I'm quite relieved. Also fbirder said they have BVDVA a trade organisation for German pharmacies. I am anxious but I'm sure it will be ok. Could I ask if you could please check them out too? I'm not young enough to know how to go about it all nor do I have the energy as I'm not well at the moment. Hope you dont mind me asking?

fliegende-pillen.de/content...

If you scroll right to the bottom of their page, you will see these two seals. The first one is for the organisation that oversees pharmacies that send out medication by post (BVDVA) and the second is to check that the website is legitimate.

If you click on the green one it takes you to the register that shows which address are used for which websites (they often have multiple ones).

Bonjourtristesse profile image
Bonjourtristesse in reply to Bonjourtristesse

Here is the register for the websites. If you click through from the green certificate, find the page and then click back through the link it should take you to where you started from.

That sentence at the top under the green banner says that the 'Post pharmacy' is registered with the Federal organisation for Medications and medical products.

Do not worry too much. What I'll do is put a post up on your behalf and let's see who is buying and where from - I will ensure you get alerted when I do this and will put down BOTH your names to make sure it gets to you !(So don't change anything yet, okay ?)

Thankyou. I got home today and been very well looked after. Just one worry I have...I was on a drip from early Wednesday morning until early this morning, Saturday. 6 bags in all. I also had to drink oceans of water and it amounted to between 4 and 5 litres so you can imagine the awful number of trips to bathroom night and day. I got my B12 injection nearly 2 weeks ago. Now especially last night and today, I'm having the most awful tingles up left leg and in my body and nothing helps it. Could I be right in thinking I've put out all my B12 with these large amounts of pee and its causing these tingling symptoms.? I'm desperately needing to find a supplier to order from. One doctor gave me B12 tablets last year which I still have and I also have sublingual lozenges and I've put on 2x 5000 mg patches . Would any of these help me? I'm truly desperate. It was found I was seriously dehydrated and very low kidney function which is back up to about normal today so I got home. Only 2 hours of broken sleep last night and I'm shattered but kept awake by these tingles like small electric current in left leg mostly. I would value help please and ideas about the patches, tablets and lozenges. Thankyou again

I cannot help you as I have no medical expertise. It is possible that fbirder , Foggyme or Gambit62 could make more valuable suggestions.

Gambit62 profile image
Gambit62Administrator in reply to Cherylclaire

Margaret-2 - issues to do with B12 tend to be symmetric - both sides of the body - so just the left side of the body being affected sounds like something else. The sublinguals are more likely to help with the B12 than the patches.

If you were having problems with kidney function then that would make a serum B12 even more difficult to interpret than normal - so result was probably pretty meaningless.

Thankyou so much for your helpful advice. I found out the problem is coming from the cervical spondylosis in my neck. I've had it before but nothing like that. Being propped up in a hospital bed with only one free hand put pressure and poor alignment on my neck. I tried my soft collar quite tightly and it worked and I got a great nights sleep for which I'm very thankful. I do have sublingual lozenges so will use them. That is so good to know. 🌞

Good morning. So glad to let you know that the tingling was coming from my neck....I've got cervical spondylosis and what had happened was the way I was having to be propped up in hospital bed with only one hand free to use so it had put my neck worse than it had been. A soft collar put on fairly tight did wonders and a wonderful nights sleep made huge difference. I'm so relieved. 🌞

Me too.Very hard to work out all this alone, isn't it ?

There is quite a pool of knowledge here I've found and usually, someone has an answer, suggestion or a point of view that makes sense and gives hope.

Fbirder mentioned the BVDVA stamp, that's a good hint.

This is what they say about themselves:

"The Bundesverband Deutscher Versandapotheken (BVDVA) represents the interests and service provider of the approved German mail-order pharmacies and protects their professional, economic and political interests The focus is on the best possible pharmaceutical advice and patient care."

For those who are not that much familiar with the German language or translation tools, here is their member list of online pharmacies (well, not all of them are pharmacies):
