I have PA and get my injections every 3 months. After the injection I am quite low and lethargic for a few days. Anyone else suffer this?

On another note I have low BP 90/44 which seems to have more symptoms should I worry? and also chronic constipation and I am taking natural enzyme supplements and I am starting on probiotics do I need to inform my GP

Its annoying eh but somehow I think your lucky only feeling low after the injection. I have them About 3 weekly and always feel low.Sorry not any help to you, personally I think the injection is over emphasised.

Chucknz . I have no idea what you mean by 'the injection is over emphasised'.

Untreated B12 deficiency (from any cause) is always - ultimately - fatal. Those who are undiagnosed and untreated suffer (amongst other things) progressive neurological degeneration and irreversible neurological damage - unto death.

Do you mean you are disappointed by not getting a better response?

I'm sorry to hear you're struggling. When I only had 3 monthly jabs, I found that after each one I felt wiped out, but would then rally. Once I found my correct timing, in my case fortnightly, I could keep more or less on the level. I did initially have a lot of symptoms that neither me nor the GP realised were down to my deficiency, which I won't go into now. One, however, was the extreme constipation. The increase in B12 has improved this, however I take daily probiotics, psillium husk and magnesium citrate, in addition to ensuring I keep up the healthy carbs. Incidentally, on the rare occasions that l need to increase my B12 regime, one of my first signs is the constipation, closely followed by cognitive issues..

Good luck and hope my experience is helpful..

Constipation was a symptom I had with b12 deficiency .Do yiu need a higher frequency? Yoh dont mention other symptoms. I eat plenty of good fiber pulses oats veg ect .

So if your diet fine I would look into this

I have low bp. Not as low as that .

Definitely get that checked out.

I'm surprised you not feeling faint at that level. Perhaus you will be given a bp cuff over 24 hours to get a full picture.

I woukd keep your gp informed.

If it's on your notes it may help any future doctors or getting a 'clinical picture'

I currently write in with them as scanned on my notes.

I have had 'reactions like headaches /knocked out after b12 injections. Not do much now .

It depends on how far inti trestnrny.

What your symptoms are.

What healing needs to happen. Ect ect

Its complex.

It's to keep moving in the right direction

Not what you're looking for?
