150 pmol/l is this too low?

Hi,

I did a medichecks active test and it has come back ^150 pmol/l

Are they reliable?

Is this too low? I’ve got lots of symptoms put down as post viral fatigue

No. It is high.

In fact it was too high for them to measure. That's what the '>' sign means. Your result was higher than 150 pmol/L while the low end of the normal range is 37.5 pmol/L

You may be confused because your test was for 'active' B12.

B12 in the blood is carried by one of two proteins, TC or HC. Only the TC-B12 can enter the cells. That is 'Active' B12. The normal test measures both TC-B12 and HC-B12. Normally, you can expect 4 times as much HC-B12 and TC-B12.
