Low folate, potassium, magnesium, iron and vitamin D levels can all make you feel like this and are worth getting tested for, especially when you feel the effects most.

You don’t tell us how often you have your B12 injection , or how long you have been having them . Do you have a daily tablet of 400mcg of folic acid which is recommended, as it works in conjunction with B12 ? Apart from the items wisely mentioned by deniseinmilden , it would be good to have your thyroid health tested . P.A. patients often have another autoimmune condition , of which a thyroid problem is quite common . Best wishes .

I used to take Methylcobalamin injections without any issue. However when I restarted the injections this year (after they were stopped for sometime and I became very ill) I got terrible symptoms. Very quickly after the injection I begin to feel very weak and mentally not right.

I'm not sure why this was. It may be something like not enough folate, as the others mentioned. It may have been just a side effect of my body repairing itself. But thankfully when I switched to Hydroxocobalamin I didn't have this issue and felt much better.

I was diagnosed about 4 years ago after a long term of back pain, shoulder pain, foot pain, pins and needles all over, depression, brain fog which I thought might be early onset dementia, and general lethargy. I had been to my GP practice numerous times but it wasn't until I was allocated a regular GP that she picked up on my symptoms and I was diagnosed. She has been very supportive so I think you may have to speak frankly to your GP or change to a different practice . Personally I think this is about cost and a lack of information/understanding by GPs. Keep pushing and stay strong.😘
