First symptom to reappear?

Hi all! I’m just curious as to how many of you have anxiety as one of the first symptoms to return if you are late with injections.

I hope everyone is doing well!

For me it's irritability and paranoia.

The people I live with can tell if I'm a couple of days late.

Irritability is also one for me. I’ve had 2 injections in the last 3 days and right now the ringing in my left ear is almost making it seem like I have muffled hearing. I don’t know if it has all just finally caught up to me or if I have something else going on. I’m guessing I have pushed the envelope too long. I don’t know why I do this to myself. After 3 years you’d think I would know better.

Fot me balance goes , irritable ,over sensitive and some anxiety creeps back. Taken me a long time to get any pattern as I have continuing head pains. That contributes to the above !!

I had it almost perfect and then I got lazy. I was so hoping I could slow down a bit but I think I’ve waited so long that I’m now getting feelings of being back to where I was 3 years ago. Not completely of course. I definitely didn’t miss this darn tinnitus.

When you say lazy did you stop injecting as frequently? It's a reminder ,a blip,

Its wonderful you got to being so well.

Goes to show you can and will get back to that.

Yes. I was injecting every M, W and F. In the last few months I’m sure there was a full week, maybe even a week and a half that I didn’t inject. I know so many have it so much worse than I do, I’m just tired of it. I could deal with once a week, once a month.....three times per week is getting to me. I really shouldn’t complain. I guess when i started feeling the anxiety rush in along with these twitching muscles and stomach issues and tinnitus and and and......it kind of scared me to be honest. I just hope it doesn’t take me as long to start feeling better as it did the last time. Maybe I just needed to vent. Love this group. No one at home truly understands, although my husband is a great support, it’s nice to have people to turn to that do understand the stress that comes with this.

Good morning I’ve also tried on numerous occasions to reduce from every other day with really bad results but for the last three weeks I’ve reduced to a Monday and a Thursday and god it’s so much better,my anxiety has dropped considerably as I got myself so worked up knowing that day after I did my shot I’d only have one clear day then have to do it again, that really was my line of thought regardless off how good I felt I dreaded them, maybe this would work for you,im much more content with that now. Maybe do your loading doses again to top you up then reduce to Mondays and Thursday xx best of luck.

Glad you are feeling better! I have tried many times to drop from 3 per week. I’m ok and then at about the three week mark I start to feel symptoms again. I’m going to just have to suck it up and just do it. I also don’t like injecting myself so I have given that task to my husband. Much better that way!

Yes anxiety for me and I didn't realise how bad until Christmas just gone. I was poorly with 4 slipped discs in my back (still recovering) and on all kinds of medication from morphine to gabapentin, so I was completely out of the game. As I slowly started to need less and less of the drugs and realised I had hardly been self jecting it was then the symptom returned tenfold. I felt like I did before I knew I was b12 deficient and I honestly thought I was losing my mind. Very very scared. Now I'm off all medication apart from the last bit of sertraline but that is being reduced and I'm injecting every other day. I'm also taking a cocktail of supplements that are all plant based and nothing synthetic. After lots of research I found the medication I was on from morphine to sertraline actually deplete the body of vital nutrients and vitamins. Never again do I want to be in that situation.

I feel for you! I also have disc issues going on 7 years. No idea why either. No injury that I can remember. I’ve had cortisone injections at double the rate I should have. Never again! I didn’t know that it could cause issues down the road in other joints. I was 40 when I had them. I will say the first 5 helped but each time was less and less until the 6th one made it worse. The only thing I will take is Advil if I’m in agony and I know that isn’t great either. I did find my pain improved when my vitamin D level went up. I was low with that as well. Today I started with my folate and iron bisglycinate which I took the first time around. They are both maintenance doses and I felt great today. It sounds like lesson learned for the both of us! I hope you start feeling better ASAP!

Yes definitely a lesson learnt. I'm also trying to quit sugar for good also as my body does not function properly with it at all, but I'm so addicted. I am getting there, as I quit alcohol, smoking and caffeine, so its just the sugar to go next.

Hard having a b12 deficiency but I think we are the lucky ones in terms of being aware as I'm sure there is plenty of people with a deficiency and non the wiser.

You are absolutely right. We are lucky in that way! I’m also realizing I felt sooo much better living a healthier low carb lifestyle. It’s hard as stress causes me to start the seefood diet! Everything I see, I eat but sugar has got to go or at the very least cut way down. So hard to break! Good luck with your sugar battle......I know I will need all the luck I can get with mine lol

My headaches came back. I was doing so well that I got heedless. Was skipping days. The headaches & muscle twitching came back to haunt me. So, I’m back to daily injections for the foreseeable future. Isn’t it grand?

Yes the headaches should have been my cue 2 weeks ago as I have never been a headachey person up until 3 years ago. I have been headache free for so long. You hit the nail on the head! We feel better and we all of a sudden hope we can go without. Never again! Oh, who am I kidding?! I knew better and I still did it. I will foolishly do it again I’m sure but not any time soon! Stay well:)

Every 28 days me seem to be in routine and seems to be working. Only really bad symptoms now is problems with my hands. Doctors say it arthritis. But I think it's cus I had low b12 for a while B4 they actually believed me as it started in my wrists, worse in mornings, my anxiety is also the one that creeps back when injection due.. Ruotine is the answer and what's right for u. As we are all different,

You’re right, we are all different! Have you tried to inject just before the anxiety creeps back in? Or do you wait until you start feeling like you need an injection? 28 days....I’d be ecstatic with that kind of break in between.

It seems to be working for me. As at one point. It was every 12 weeks it was to long. You can tell ur own body like fighting a lion To get doctors to every 8 weeks then they wouldn't budge. So bought my own done it every week then spread it out to when I could tell was creeping back. my tougue started to burn so that was 1st indication. So every 28 days now

So glad you got you figured it out. I gave up going to doctors . I’m just worried that I’ve lost so much faith in them that when I actually need one in the future I’m going to hesitate. Stay well:)

Funny you mention this as I was complaining to my husband that my joints in my hands felt stiff a few days these last few week. I have to say that since I got back the the regularly scheduled program, (about a week ago) it’s gone.

Brain fog, mouth ulcers and pins & needles

Anxiety, irritability, Clumsiness and, worst of all, a slight brain fog; not the real bad brain fog that I had prior to treatment but a kind of feeling that I know somethings wrong and I know there is something I should do to fix it (have an injection) but I can't quite put the two together. Normally my Daughter says "you haven't had your shot have you" and that's enough. She really is an awesome kid
