I noticed I had a like from another member and went to check out that post. My response has been removed. The post was about possible reactions to the covid vaccine. A lot of people on this forum question their doctors and for good reason. Their doctors have made mistakes, were uniformed, and consequently their health was affected.

People have a right to ask questions, to free speech....especially when it comes to their own body. Isn't this one of the fundamentals of this forum?

It's a mis-characterization to label anyone who dares ask questions about vaccine safety as anti-vax. Everyone on this forum has questioned their doctor. Are they anti medicine? are they anti doctor?

And what i said was not controversial at all. if fact, you can find it on the FDA website. And I didn't tell anyone not to get that vaccine. I said....get informed. Listen to all the voices. We are adults capable of listening to more than one point of view and making up our own mind. We don't need someone else to choose the "right" narrative for us.

I didn't attack anyone. i didn't use profanity. i didn't make wild claims. And I'm 100% for anyone getting that vaccine IF they are informed and want it. I have an amazing amount of faith in the INFORMED public governing their own lives.

the member posting his/her concern is right in asking questions. but i guess he/she can only hear certain narratives. If you let certain doctors moderate this site I wonder how much of it would be censored.

I debated posting this at all, it will likely be taken down, but i feel i have to at least register my objection. First amendment and all. This site has been a lot of help to many people, including myself. one reason for that is it allows people to question orthodoxy and to use their brains.

if vaccines are taboo here put it in your rules as off topic and then remove all discussions. Don't just censor the people that dare to ask questions about them.

end mild rant. : )

Thunderdog. What you refer to as 'censorship' is, in fact, moderation. This occurs across the entire HU platform and the majority of fora that are well moderated do not permit anti-fax comments or discussion (for reasons which I am sure you can appreciate).

Replies concerned with potential physical reaction to the Covid vaccine were not deleted, so the poster was able to obtain the advice and support needed - as you will see. However, other replies (some most definitely 'anti-vax') not concerned with answering the question about physical reaction to the vaccine (the posters question) were deemed off topic and potentially contentious, so were deleted. Many of the deleted replies came to admin attention because they were reported as inappropriate by regular members of the forum.

This forum is not an arena for these kind of discussions and we administrators will continue to moderate and remove such comments - most especially when they have been reported as inappropriate by other forum members.

If you have any concerns in the future you are able to mail these directly to any of the admin team and I would encourage you to please do that.

All - please note that that having PA is not a reason to avoid Covid vaccination. We will continue to moderate and delete 'anti-vax' discussion, or discussion that borders thereon.
