I'm not much one for coffee, so I couldn't pass judgement on that.

I've not noticed any difference between those times where I'm drinking a lot (back in the summer when I was waiting for a gastroscopy to see if my cancer really was growing - it wasn't) and when I'm not drinking much at all (when I've been told I need to lose all the weight I put on in summer due to too much alcohol and too many doughnuts and chocolates)

I’ve read in a couple of places that it can do, however I’m a coffee addict (it’s my only vice) and even when I was advised to give up because of migraines I refused. I think probably in moderation it’s fine. But read a few different sources of information.

Too much coffee and too much alcohol isnt great for you whatever.

I haven't dared touch alcohol as I feel like I've a really bad hangover alot of mornings without it!! Since an adult never been so long without any. Nearly 2 years .My friends know I'm still ill!! 😅

Recently in the last 2 weeks I have the odd weak coffee and have felt no difference.Too much coffee does not help anxiety and can cause your heart to race. Just didnt fancy it before but have never been a big coffee drinker.

I do tend to feel better well hydrated.

So in moderation cant see it making much difference.

Have you tried without for a week to see??

I think both can make fatigue worse but wont stop the b12 working .

No harm in trying supplements but coffee and caffeine does hamper absorbtion of some. So take at least 1hr away from it. Its finding different ways to relax and breaking habits never easy .I miss lots of things which I hope to get back to.

Take care

I definitely feel so much worse with alcohol. I stopped anyway as felt like I had a hangover every morning without it. I have been on injections for 4 months and thought I would try a little glass of wine last month. My legs felt like they were burning, I couldn’t sleep, and it really affected for me 3-4 days. So I won’t even try any now. Not heard about coffee, I have three cups across a morning.

I drink gallons of fresh filtered coffee and a small glass of brandy a day. No negative effects at all.

Speaking personally I am certain that alcohol does reduce the effectiveness of B12 injections. A couple of months back I gave up wine for a couple of weeks as an experiment . I managed to get to 10 days without an injection. My normal regime is two or three jags a week, depending on symptoms. Don't know about coffee I’m afraid...
