I’m hoping to see if any of you lovely people have advice on help with my running, I have to have B12 injections every 3 months as my intrinsic was positive. I’m struggling with my breathing on my runs and it’s really frustrating me now. Does anyone have any tips ideas to help please? Thanks

Have you been diagnosed with pernicious anemia? If so then any exercise you do will deplete your b12 further. I have PA and do a lot of mountain biking so I get very tired and I decided to self inject weekly or more as I need it. It helps with breathing difficulties too. It sounds like your not getting enough .. the protocol is every 3 months but many SI much more regularly.. you need to take folic acid and a good multivitamin too. There’s lots of posts on here for help with SI and videos on YouTube etc. Good luck and don’t give up running 😃
No problem.. it’s a bit daunting at first but once you get the hang of it it feels great to be in control of your own health.. it’s miserable when your feeling tired all the time .. people don’t get it !
Ask your doctor to change your injections to every two months. They may not be aware that the recommendations were changed in 2018. If they argue ask them to look up hydroxocobalamin in the online BNF.
Hello I would say a few things but first I would go and ask advice from GP about your breathing. It could be caused by any number of things, I developed Asthma triggered by my cats when I was 50 having had cats all my life! Also we're at the height of summer-ish and goodness knows what pollen etc you are running through and of course you are running so you are breathing deeply. As for getting injections once every three months, I would say forget it and just self inject and find the regime that works for you. My Endo stated I should have monthly injections adding the guidance for treatment is simply snatched out of the air, so I thought well if the guidance for three months is snatched out of the air where did you get one month from? Like you I run. I do 5.9K most mornings and when things interfere with my running I get very cross. Good luck and I hope the breathing improves but don’t leave treatment for PA to Dr’s, most know virtually nothing about it.
