Pre loaded injections
Have you been receiving injections from your GP but have now been given a prescription for tablets instead?
If so, you may be able to argue that your injections should be reinstated. There have been several posts regarding this over the last few weeks. Also, the PAS has issued information for people affected this way.
My GP has for some time allowed me a monthly injection and a while ago he agreed that I could self inject. He provides the prescription for the B12 vials but I have to source my own needles and syringes.
If the injection frequency already given by your GP is sufficient perhaps this is something you could suggest (although not all GPs will allow this)?
If you decide to self inject using your own supplies, there aren’t any pre-loaded injections. I obtain B12 (Rotexmedica Hydroxocobalamin Depot) vials from versandapo.de and needles, syringes, pre injection wipes and small round plasters from Medisave.co.uk. I bought a sharps box from Amazon and arrange for my local council to collect and replace it annually.
That's really helpful, I will take this on board and have a further chat with my contact nurse practitioner at my surgery. Many thanks

It is the recommendations for treatment of a B12 deficiency during the covid-19 lockdown. Insist on having your normal injections.
