I’m really sorry to hear of your loss . How lovely for Isabelle that she was able to die in your arms . . Yes you now feel terrible at her passing , but that was a good death . Try to take some comfort in that . The passing of time will help you . You are in my thoughts .

Thank you 😻 she had op last sept for cancer but then it came back, she’s been well for 7 months !!

Then last week she wasn’t right & it came out of the blue so to say, the vet said it’s time to let her go 😢 as much as I didn’t want to say goodbye I had to take myself out of it cos I had to do what was best for her , I’d always do that cos I love her 😻

You did the right thing by her . You gave her love and a good life and she gave you love and companionship . Great .

The day before my collapse 18m ago the beginning of this hideous journey.

One of my cats had been 'off colour' for one day. Taken to the vets nothing found.

She was found dead under the sofa the following morning.only 18 months old and a poorly kitten I'd spent alot of time getting right from a charity.

Only conclusion underlying heart problem.

I think it was the' last straw to break the camels back'. My last conversation before collapse was with the vet.

I then 'took it out on the garden's then collapsed......

It is underestimated the relationship we have with our pets we nurture

I full understand your pain.

We can only do our best .

As you did.

She had you to the end.

Take care and be kind to yourself.

Thank you all for your kind words... I can’t express the pain & empty feeling I have inside.

Isabelle saved my life 2 times & when I’m not feeling great she wouldn’t leave my side 😻

It’s long story how I found Isabelle or she found me 😘 so I won’t bore you, but I’ve always felt that God sent me Isabelle , she is the reason when I’m really in a dark place that I don’t kill myself and now I am so frightened for when I feel that cos she isn’t here now so what’s to stop ??? Nothing

Part of me died with her that I’m lost without her, she was everything to me and the love I gave her was all my heart no other cats get treated the way Queeniz did , lobster was her FAV food (that’s what you having a royal ) HAHA

I am in total agreement with other replies to you. You were there for Isabelle just as she was there for you.

I am a devoted cat slave so know where you are at.

Please remember that we care for each other here, if you have black times in your grief please reach out to us here.

We will do our best to help you through because we do care.

Over time your pain will ease and you can think about giving love to another fur baby. So many lonely cats need your love. I know that it is hard to think about but a new cat would never replace Isabelle but you have love to give and a journey to continue. Bringing a new cat into your life is a wonderful thing to do and you have the gift of love to give.

I am assuming the rehoming centres are closed right now but several have web sites and photos of pets needing someone to love them.

In time the pain will be less and you can have the good memories still.

Best wishes

Ellie

I will get another red girl but there’s only 11 breeders in uk of Norwegian forest cats cos they are rare 😻

It’s nice to know I can get support on here but not the same as talking & don’t have anyone to talk to 😿 x

There are so many sitting in cages waiting for a loving home in so many charities.

All vaccinated neutered and vet checked.

Read their stories.

All beautiful, all different colours and ages

It's good to care for another one or two!

.Obviously your cat can never be replaced .

Take care

Are your b12 I jections helping you??

I’m so sorry for the loss of your dear Cat. It’s devastating. What’s more bizarre is I lost my cat Isabelle on the 18th as well! She had throws issues and liver problems and was an elderly lady so she so needed to cross so she could be better over there and that’s what keeps me sane. Thinking of you

So sorry to read your sad news. Just as Isabelle came into your life so will another fur baby when the time is right.

So sorry to hear this..it is so painful I know ..10 years ago I lost my beautiful cat she was 20 years old..I got breast cancer to top it all..it’s a tough call but you do get through these bad times..I did get another cat which helped with the grief..maybe you should consider this..big hugs from me..your lovely cat will always be with you in your heart x

So so sorry to hear of your very very sad loss. The pain and sadness will always be there, but with time the good memories will begin to crowd them out. My heart goes out to you

So sorry to hear your sad news. My dog Poppy keeps me going, so much love and support from a pet. People that have never had pets just can't comprehend how amazing they are. Before Poppy I had Bonnie and Clyde, they got me through some lonely times. I see a little flash now and again of all my previous dogs in Poppy, even though she is a completely different personality 😊 There's always another little broken soul just waiting for someone to take them home and give them love.. and they will return it 100 times over ❤ x

Hi Queeniz

So sorry to here about your precious Isabelle. Just be in the knowledge you did the very best for her and she will be in your heart forever.

I lost my dog Kizzy fifteen months ago in similar situation, and being there for her at the end has got me through the bad times. I say goodnight to her every day and she will always be in my heart.

My best wishes are with you at this time. XXX

So sorry to hear of your loss and heartache. We are going through turmoil with our poorly Lottie, the most beautifil Saluki girl in the World. We were told 4 years ago she had

3 months and we have kept her going with a thousand supplements but the time is nigh now. But unlike you, we do not have the strength, not yet, we cannot let go. You should love and admire yourself for your strength.

But always remember that you are who you are because Isabelle touched your life. You became you because of your communal love and care for each other over the years. And so you will never lose her. She would want you to be proud of the person, that loving caring person that you have become with her help.

When my mum died my friend sent me a video of the animal charity 'The Trust Technique' just watching the short video introduction made me realise that our heart reaches out and touches animals and their's ours with peace and love and trust and healing.

James French (Trust Technique) does not just work with abused horses but all animals even lions (many more videos)

Watching the videos, fill me with joy. I have on my desktop so can access at any time

I also read the book, 'The Biology of Belief' by Bruce Lipton (a microbiologist) he talks about his work and if anyone ever wanted to know how a cell works then they should read this book. But it is his work interwoven with his life story and so is not at all boring or high brow. He explains how the cells showed through his work (which all life has) that the most important factor are the receptors on the cell surface and how these receptors receive signals/ messages both chemical and electrical to enable their function/ our function/ the function of all life. These signals come internally from the body but also from outside the body (senses - eg smells, danger response etc). All Facts. Reaching the conclusion that we, all life is one and how we need to reach out and feel the connection with all animals, plants.

A step further - that is why we are here. Gives an analogy of the TV set, receiving the signal of the programmes that we are watching. The TV breaks and can no longer work but just because we can no longer receive the signals, the signal is still there being transmitted, just waiting for the correct receiver - the new TV with the correct receptor. OK perhaps a bit deep there? Although I think not. But the conclusion of his life's work is written up in this book and it is a wonderful book to read if you are suffering from grief and are needing to feel the meaning of life.

I'm so sorry for your loss. She will always be in your heart, and I hope you can take some comfort that she died in the loving security of your arms. I know from experience that no words, indeed nothing, will take away the pain. Please look after yourself x

So sorry for you and your loss. It is one of the great injustices of the world that our pets never live as long as we do. We have to say goodbye far too often.

Thank you to everyone that wrote such heart warming reply’s it means a lot to me. 😘 I’ve had cats all my life, in fact I’ve only been without a cat for 6 weeks in 38 years.... I’ve loved them all but I must say “Isabelle was special “ 😻 I don’t know what it was but there was something about her that I can’t find words to express it!!!

There’s a long story to how I found

Isabelle ....

Bless you. I know exactly how you feel. It's like someone ripped out your heart and stamped on it 💔 💔💔😭 Remember that Isabelle had a wonderful life with you. She was so loved and happy with you. She will stay in your heart and mind forever. She will never leave. My best friend of 48 years and all 3 of my cats passed away last year 😭. All different causes but no less devastating. I have never experienced so many losses so quickly. I have 2 new rescue cats. They will never replace my other cats but have helped to fill the void my beautiful furbabies left. There may be a rescue for Norwegian Forest cats. One of the breeders may know of one or of any cats that are needing a new home. Much love and heartfelt empathy to you. ❤ x

Yes we will be reunited with our furbabies in Heaven when it is our time too pass. I too am Catholic. Getting a kitten soon is something to look forward too. 😻 I know how lucky that little one will be to find such a lovely and special mummy. ❤
