Precaution mask for coronavirus

I found out I have two anemia’s b and d. An with this Coronavirus going on in Florida. I need to keep my mask on at all public area’s cause basically my immune system is terrible. Everyone is looking at me weird cause I don’t want to get sick. Can someone cheer me up a little ... I hate coming out to the world that I have a low immune system. I am being called bandit and though there joking it is kinda getting to me

The advice is not to bother with masks as they do virtually nothing to prevent you getting infected. Those who are infected should wear a mask to prevent others from getting it.

Gloves are better . And just keel Rashid g your hands with soap. If you choose to fly on s plane you just hope no one has it. It's got a long incubation period. My surgery recently shut. Fortunately patient tested negative. Good the surgery got a deep clean. Ear more fruit to boost your immune system.

Think anyone with autoimmune issues is in the same boat! Hand washing is essential. Tip: when people come into the house from the outside get them to wash their hands and dry them on paper to avoid contaminating your hand towels.

If you have an autoimmune disease then it means your immune system is overactive, not that it is less active.

People with a B12 deficiency may have a weakened immune system. But is repaired with treatment. karger.com/Article/Abstract...

From the various studies I have read, surgical masks can reduce your chances of inhaling coronavirus. The highest claim is 5x but others are much more modest. They aren't needed when walking in the park or along the street. Just in confined situations with others who are coughing and sneezing. As fbirder said, it is those who are already infected and their confinement carers who should be wearing them.

Finally two people that understand me. You see I work at thrift store and everyone is coughing and sneezing. Including my manager it is so annoying now I have to explain every time a deep secret. That I kept till I was diagnosed with 2 anemia’s. One guy was like “ why are you wearing that mask” and I don’t think he understood because he spoke Spanish and English more Spanish than English. I had to explain to him I have anemia.

I'm in Florida too. So far haven't seen anyone wearing masks. I don't know if they help or not but I don't like wearing anything over my nose and mouth. If you think it helps you then wear it. Sorry to hear everyone around you is coughing and sneezing. It may be allergies so don't panic. The Dr told me the pollen is really bad right now so my chronic sinus congestion may be allergy related. I read a story saying about how people were infected late last year and had no idea at first that it was Coronavirus. I think it already spread here and was attributed to flu. My entire family here had it- and it was rough. The lingering cough was miserable. My flu test came back negative and we had no coronavirus test in January. 102+ fever for days..even my daughter. Everyone around me was sick..everyone I knew was sick. Everyone at work was sick. Try and use this to help yourself stay relaxed and not worry about it so much. My grandparents are almost 80 and had it...and got over it faster than I did!! I don't think it was flu.
