Managing symptoms while breastfeeding

I recently gave birth 5 months ago. In those months I had a couple of flare ups of neuropathy that multiple B12 injections were able to get rid of.

However when 4mo rolled around, my symptoms were worse than they have ever been. Dizziness, GI issues, and horrible neuropathy in my one leg. My usual increase in B12 injections are only mildly reducing symptoms, they aren't working like they used too.

Does anyone have any experience or knowledge on what to do about PAS symptom management and BF?

I also keep getting told by everyone that my increases are going to damage my kidneys. I know you cant OD on B12, but any validity to harming my kidneys?

absolutely no validity to the claim that you are damaging kidneys.

poor kidney function can result in higher B12 levels and longer retention periods - not the other way round.

Sorry that I can't help with the neurological problems.May be there is something else going on.

Thanks for letting me know! I didnt think so about the kidneys

As for neuropathy, I've had it from the initial diagnosis, it's what brought me into the doctors.

But now it's the worse it's ever been. I have the classic one sided leg burning feeling, and worse at night

You are in the most demanding phase of breast feeding. As your baby is taking alot from you now.

I imagine this is playing a large part with your PA symptoms.

When your baby isnt totally dependant on you and having food this should be less of a strain on your body.

Most try and reach 6 months . In reality some babies start a little earlier.

I hope it really helps when the demands on your body are less.

I wish you well

Thanks so much.

The symptoms seemed to have gotten worse as the demands for milk have gone up. Makes sense that its BF. I hope to make it past 6 months too.
