I posted recently about bleeding after an injection in the leg. Today I gave myself another injection in the leg and it caused some bleeding but after I had a bruise. I feel like I’m doing something wrong. Any advice.

Hi,

I have been injecting (daily) for just over a year and I changed from the top of my leg to my stomach area as it was less painful, most of the time I feel nothing. The nurse said think of it as a 12 hour clock and inject round. Occasionally I bruise, it looks awful but is painless. I have also found recently that some times I have a tender spot so inject somewhere different.

I don’t tend to bleed though.

Hope this helps. R
