I have really painful wrists it started as pins and needles. Anybody had this
Symptoms: I have really painful wrists... - Pernicious Anaemi...
Symptoms
I have problems with pins and needles and pain in hands and feet. B12 helps but so does looking at wrist posture and keeping the wrist straight ... or more lately adjusting my neck position.
Have you had a nerve conduction test for carpel tunnel?
No dismissed by doctor told to go and see physio
suggest that you speak to the physio and see what they say. They may be able to encourage GP to refer you to a neuro or for a nerve conduction test.
My experience with wrist/hand problems was via occupational health advising me to go and see my GP and ask for a nerve conduction test ... to which my GP's response was that there was no such thing ... just one of the many occasions when I've had to deal with chocolate tea-pots. However, the use of wrist braces (not continuous because that can also cause problems) whilst I was sleeping and learning to sleep with straighter wrists was a big help to me. That was about 20 years before I had a diagnosis of B12 deficiency.
More recently I have seen a physio about ankle problems - problems aren't solved but the exercises I was give have helped to improve the awareness of my feet and ankle and made the ankle feel a lot more stable ... not solved all of the problems but it has helped.
I also have sore wrists and don’t have the strength in them I used to have
I have numbness in my hands mostly, but not the tingling. They feel tight and swollen, even though they are not. We recently took a trip where I walked quite a bit and my right foot went numb and tingly while walking. I also had weakness in my hands that now seems to be improving.
