Another example of a serious-looking website getting PA wrong.

Many of these sites appear to exist for the sole purpose of being click bait. Giving the appearance of being pukka articles is a powerful and worrying approach.

The first link at the bottom of the article references H Pylori so the writer has obviously not read their research properly. It's a worry how many will read and believe though.

LOL! That’s like my family member who believes heart disease can be passed laterally among siblings, not down from parents.

I'm sorry but where does it say it could pass on from one person to another? what i read is that autoimmune gastritis like any other autoimmune disease has the tendency to develop itself in the offspring. The article says the 50% chances are that if any of the parents have the atropic gastritis and if its autoimmune in nature, the inheritance factor would pass it on to the children. Correct me if i'm wrong?

As you can see earlier in this thread, I had also read the page and agreed with fbirder .

Despite the date remaining 15 November 2018, I am suspicious that the page was updated after I first looked at it.
