I’ve read somewhere that b12 deficiency can affect your nerves. If you damage a nerve will it take longer to heal and hurt more if your b12 deficient?

Nerve damage
Your nerves have an insulating sheath of a fatty stuff called myelin that helps them function properly. A deficiency in B12 can slow the rate at which the body can make myelin, so leaving the nerves exposed and not working properly.
Nerve damage tends to take a long time to repair anyhow. I would imagine that an untreated B12 deficiency would make it take even longer.
PA/B12 deficiency is a neuro/psychiatric disease, that manifests slowly and subtly over time. This is why, by the time neurological symptoms are recognised, there is usually a fairly short window of opportunity to treat agressively and adequately without delay to avoid the risk of permanent damage.......
Thank you both for the information. I had a shoulder injury and was in a lot of pain inside for a long time which many professionals couldn’t say why. So I was thinking this could be the reason I was in so much pain for ages. A possibility I suppose.
It's funny you should wonder this Lizblow, because two close members of my family have left shoulder pain which has not responded to chiropractors' treatment and I wondered whether B12 def. was the root cause.......
