Remember your B12

I'm on weekly injections that I give to myself. It's convenient because I can fit them in around my schedule, but it also means that's its up to me to remember to do them. I'm usually pretty on top of it and, consequently, I usually don't have my symptoms return between injections.

Yesterday was an exception to the rule. I was more active than usual over the weekend and it just flattened me. Somehow, while trying to recover from doing too much, I also forgot to take my B12. When I woke up this morning, my tongue was burning. Fortunately I was able to quickly recognize that as a low B12 symptom and realize that I had forgotten my shot.

I decided to post about it because it's the kind of pitfall that can happen if you get too complacent (and you are in a similar situation to mine where you are self-treating).

At 16:00 on Mondays and Thursdays all hell breaks lose. My iPad, my iPhone, my watch and Alexa all set off alarms telling me that I’m due an injection. The iPad is set to nag me every 40 minutes until I tell it I’ve jabbed myself.

Yes , I can totally associate with that . You really have to pace yourself when you have P.A. I think it applies especially if you has been deficient for a long time . When I look back , I believe that I was certainly deficient for 5-6 years before got a diagnosis ( had to go privately to get it ) We all have different symptoms if we are late with an injection.

I think that you can get an arrangement on your mobile phone to remind you every week to have your injection .( I don’t know how to arrange it .)

I hope that you get over your B12 ‘blip” quickly .

Ah, but of course it's only a placebo...!!! 😉 😁

Thank you for your timely reminder - my routine was different this morning and I might easily have forgotten... Until later!

Curious what is leveled at us but how we don't realise that we've forgotten until the symptoms get us... and not the other way round!

I find that if I'm getting low it's my consciousness that goes before I realise, so making me prone to forgetting when I most need to remember!

I hope you recover soon and are back on form ASAP.

Thank you. It does seem to be taking me a little extra time to bounce back. I must've really overdone things more than I realized this weekend. Live and learn, I guess.

Yes, this particular placebo has quite the effect. Careful not to become addicted. LOL

I'm definitely addicted to being alive!! 😁 x

Good luck and take heart - I've crashed loads of times but have found another remission phase does follow the relapses eventually. Wishing you well very soon.
