Good day all. I am writing to seek some clarity on recent results of folate testing. In Canada we have the option of testing for Serum Folate and RBC Folate. Apparently, RBC Folate is a more accurate reading of whether or not a deficiency exists. I had a RBC Folate test last week and results came back at 2676 n/mol. While I have seen reference ranges for Serum Folate the lab did not list a range for RBC Folate, only stating the results were "normal". Any feedback on this value is appreciated.

Serum folate can vary a bit depending on how much has been eaten recently. The RBC folate doesn’t vary as much over time so is unlikely to be changed day-to-day.
The range I found was for 280 - 790 ng/L which would translate to 635 - 1800 pmol/L.
n/mol isn’t a unit I’ve seen.
