I have borderline low B12 (196) so my GP is adamant I do not have pernicious anaemia, she wont refer me for any further testing full stop. I also have low Iron (10) and Folate (1.7) so I am seriously concerned there is some malabsorption issues going on
Any advice on what I can do bar moving to a new practice? I'm concerned I'm going to keep going low with my B12 once I've finished the course of injections they've grudgingly agreed to...

h pylori reduces stomach acid causes reduced iron absorbtion and chronic inflamation in the stomach which damages intrensic factor stomach cells.
low stomach acid also causes reduced protein absorbtion with time. and in my case low absorption of zinc and copper.
i continued to feel the need for b12 injections for 8 months after getting rid of h pylori and then magically, after my 40th injection (and 4 years of b12 deficiency, during which, i seriously struggled even with b12 tablet supplimentation) i no longer felt the need for the injection. prior blood tests all indicated continued drop of serum b12 at a rate of appox 150 pg/ml per week without injections. then i no longer felt then need to get an injection after my 7-6th injection and my b12 actually went up from test on 7-13th, 1072 to test on 8-28 at 1300 something. i still have lowish alkaline phosphatase, which is zinc indicator, 10 months after h pylori eradication but even it went up 10 points on my 8-28 test.
