Can I ask can anyone still go to the gym? I am still doing my loading doses but I miss exercise, and I need to do it. Unfortunately after a few minutes I get chest pain and numbness. Thankyou ❤️

I do. I had to build myself up from nothing. It was a struggle but I go 2/3 times a week. I also cycle a lot and dog walk.

It’s taken a long time and yes painful hands and feet at times with the ache in the thighs. Never had chest pains though.

Good luck

Slow and steady.

I started not being able to walk 50 m (after regularly walking 10 km carrying a load of camera gear). Now I can do 4 km with the dog (but still can’t carry my big lens that far - so I sold it).

Hi there , I had five injections as my loading dose which I completed on 16 July. It's very recent I know and I am still getting the pains in my hands, feet and thighs if I walk or do any other form of exercise. I am hopeful that it will improve over the coming month. I hope yours improves quickly. Exercise is a great medicine so persevere and build up your weekly programme gradually.

Chest pain is not a good sign. B12 and or folate deficiency causes homocysteine to increase which is associated with coronary artery disease and stroke. I had lots of arrhythmias in the early stages of recovery from B12 deficiency, but never chest pain. I wouldn't ignore it.

Hi Martin, thanks for the concern. I have had blood tests and an ECG done in A and E which were all fine. 😀
