So I have given a 7 page letter to the doctors surgery. Let's see if I get my injections started again. 🤞

I've sent a 7 page letter to the doctors practice
Good luck Alison.I done something similar and was left distressed and humiliated. By the GP who was clearly furious at me for pointing out I wasn't being treated according to guidelines.I hope you have a better doctor than me.
How awful. I haven't got 1 specific doctor as my surgery you see a different locum every time. Did you get your injections re-instated?
Hi,
Good luck with your letter.
GPs might get irritated by a patient writing letters, a couple of mine did, but I gave up worrying because I knew that if I didn't get treatment I was going to deteriorate badly.
If you don't get anywhere with your letter then might be worth looking at......
1) Contacting PAS.
PAS (Pernicious Anaemia Society)
Based in Wales, UK.
pernicious-anaemia-society....
PAS tel no +44 (0)1656 769717 answerphone
PAS support groups in UK
pernicious-anaemia-society....
useful source of info on helpful GPs etc.
2) Meeting with Practice Manager at GP surgery
I'd suggest taking a supportive friend or family member who knows about B12 deficiency. Sadly sometimes expressing concerns can get people labelled as a difficult patient. I had unpleasant experiences. It can be very helpful to have a witness........
2) Contacting person who runs B12 Deficiency Info website
3) CAB NHS Complaints
citizensadvice.org.uk/healt...
CAB can explain process and may be able to put people in touch with supportive organisations.
4) HDA patient care trust
UK charity that offers free second opinions on medical diagnoses and medical treatment.
5) Blog post about NHS constitution and B12 injections being stopped.
b12deficiency.info/blog/201...
6) If you're in UK, local MP may be interested if you're not getting NHS treatment you're entitled to.

7) Some UK people on forum have contacted B12d.org
If all else fails some people choose to self treat. I did, when I had exhausted every possibility of NHS treatment.
I am not medically trained.
Meant inject not object ha ha.
If only I knew one 😁
