Caffeine! Do you find it makes symptoms worse? Specifically Coke.

Think this may interfere with brain issues. Can anyone relate?

Like brain zap ? Stuff. Brain cracking in half.

I think some people have problems with caffeine, but personally it make me feel better.

Is it diet coke? I ask because, what you are describing is how I feel if I have anything with aspartame in. like half of my brain is working too fast but another half too slow. then my mind goes blank for a second.

I also get similar problems with MSG.

it took a few months off stopping drinking anything with aspartame in before this scrambled up feeling stopped, and soft drink company are reducing the sugar in everything and adding artificial sweetener, so I have to check the label of everything even think I drink all the time.

I'm the same. Very caffeine sensitive, it sends me into overdrive then I get a big crash, with or without sugar content.

MSG goofs me out for several hours too; Chinese takeway is out, my tongue feels fat and I get all 'separated' from reality for a few hours.

And phenylalanine pretty much is the same as caffeine to me.

Ty so much. I think my problem may be more severe? Like my brain is being zapped or something, with little comprehension. The nutrients help. Vitamins, b12, etc. Started taking applecider vinegar at night, and think it's helping. Best wishes.

I'm good with caffeine too, but like you, dragonfly5465, artificial sweeteners affect me horribly. I have IBS and the sweeteners are just the worst trigger. If I'm drinking Coke, it has to be full-fat! :)
