I have requested all my results now and will be picking up later. As I am currently off work I have requested to see the Doctor today as I am going to have one last go. My symtoms have been ongoing for a long time and more noticeably since Dec 2016. However my bloods come back normal every time and I know that I am not going to get anywhere whist my B12 is in the higher 200's. So before I start taking B12 supplements to see if symptoms improve (I know you all say not to , but I am at a loss as to what else to do), I was thinking of asking the Doctor to test my Methylmalonic acid as I have read that the b12 test isn't accurate. I will take a full list of symtoms in with me and ask him to treat me acoording to those and not bloods.
My worry is that although I am probably not a severe case and it is only I start getting severe headaches and nausea that I take time off work, they won't treat me.
However the brain fog, and clumsiness, forgetfullness, DO affect me every day and acutally affect my decision making in my job. The added stress of my job just makes some days too much for me.
Thanks for your help guys this past week

Unfortunately some GP's aren't aware of the MMA test, though you may be lucky and yours has. Have you had your vitamin D tested?
I can see from previous posts that your B12 levels are within the range, but low, you could get a doctor who is sympathetic to your symptoms and offer a trial period of injections. As symptoms can overlap with other deficiencies it is important that you have ruled them out, mainly vitamin D, as I can't see any testing for that on any of the posts.
Hiya thanks for your reply I can’t see Vit D tested on my previous bloods. Picking up the rest of more recent later, hoping they have tested on those..
But yes someone else suggested that it doesn’t have to be b12. As they are all so closely linked. I had a brief look at symptoms of vit D and others and my symptoms are more relevant to b12 def.
but obviously this isn’t a done deal.
If I get a GP who is sympathetic to symptoms do i have to spell out the treatment is injections or should they be aware?
He should be aware. Have you printed off the BMJ article from Sleepybunny? The one that states the need to treat people who are symptomatic for B12 deficiency even if there is no deficiency in bloods?
Have you had your Folate and Ferritin levels checked. Folate, in particular, is necessary for B12 to work so the symptoms of a deficiency can be very similar.
