Hi,

It took me months to show improvements in some symptoms and I've accepted that some symptoms may be permanent.

Have other possible reasons for your symptoms been excluded eg Thyroid disease?

Have you seen a neurologist?

Yes and yes, however, I lost my daughter to cancer, lost my job and had to move so I had a lot of stressors in a short time. Thank you.

So sorry to hear of all the stressors in your life. This may well be making your symptoms worse and also makes you more aware of them.

Since starting self injecting my paraesthesiae have been worse which, many people on thus forum seem to have experienced. I suspect it is the healing process in the nerves that increases the unpleasant symptoms. It's a bit like wound healing after surgery the discomfort in the scar increases as the healing process gets underway. Try to regard it as a sign that your nerves are repairing along with other B12 deficiency symptoms.

I really hope things will improve for you soon. You're suffering far too much physically and emotionally at the moment.

Hi Blinkys mum, that is really not very long when you are trying to heal nerves especially if you have hadymptoms for some time.I have been injecting since June 2016 and still have many of my symptoms although some have improved the numbness and burning and banding and cotton wool feeling in feet have never gone away. I saw a neurologist last september and he said it can take several years for nerves to heal. I had been si every other day since last September and changed to twice a week about 4 months ago and I felt my symptoms were getting worse and have started every other day again. I know stress and tiredness plays a big part in symptoms feeling worse, Do try to rest when you are tired. The magnesium should help with spasms, I have been taking magnesium just over a week and the feeling of bone breaking spasms have stopped. Lots of potassium rich foods and dark green vegetables is also important , but most important thing is not to give up on the injections. I hope you feel improvement soon. Best wishes.

Hi Blinkysmom

I'm in the same boat although injections started in August. I would agree with many here turn over every stone to find an answer. In the meanwhile I do limited yoga from yogaglo it is an online class system. There are some really easy videos there and it only costs 18 dollars a month you can get a trial for 2 weeks I think. I'll let you know if I find out anything new.

Hang in there and keep reaching out to people, its important
