Rmichelle, there is some accumulating evidence that the ferritin range for people with thyroid problems has a bottom point that is slightly higher than that for people who don't have thyroid problems - 20 units or so.

Ferritin is one part of the picture in evaluating an iron deficiency - full blood count is another. Your results are in the normal range but they are all pretty close to the bottom.

Your RDW is also at the top of the range - that's another indicator for anaemias.

Your thyroid results all seem to be out of range - presume that you are being treated for these - TUK folks have probably given you advice on what should be going on with these.

Your B12 level looks good - your folate is in range so should be okay.

I'd suggest getting the thyroid under control first - as the thing that is obviously not working) and then coming back to whether other vitamins and minerals might be needed.

You can overdose on iron so would recommend that you speak to your GP before starting on any supplements.

also wanted to add so you are aware that whilst this forum has anaemia in the title pernicious anaemia is actually a bit of a misnomer as it is really a condition that leads to deficiency in B12 which causes a specific type of anaemia in which red blood cells are larger and rounder than normal (as opposed to smaller which is associated with iron based anaemia)

Your B12 levels are good.
