Traveling with b12

I am traveling to the UK from the US in a couple of weeks (for the first time). I need to take my b12. I have a multi-dose vial. Is it okay to load the b12 into the syringe for 1 shot and carry it with me that way? Also, any suggestions on an easy way to keep it cool? Thanks!

I think these are possibly questions that you need to refer to the airline as its likely to be security issues that determine the answer. They may also be able to advise on keeping it cool in transit, though it might need support from your doctor. It might be possible to come to some arrangement where-by you could get the B12 whilst you are here - though of course it depends on which form of B12 you are using - cyano? methyl?

Hi, since my post, I found that the TSA website says I can take an icepack with the b12 in my carry-on. I also have gotten a letter from my doctor stating the medical necessity for using it. The pharmacy I use told me I can load the syringe and it would be good for 1 month like that as long as it is kept cold.

Maybe you could order some B12 to be sent to your address in the UK, rather than bringing it yourself?
