Very informative. Thank you. For sharing. I tAke my own b12. Drs here in the US never check your b12. They say it is very variable, and cannot be really checked. I get really anemic once and awhile. I dont know what the cause is, and very reluctant to even see a dr. I believe I have absorption problems.

Hi Natura,

Have you read the book "Could it be b12" by Sally Pacholok and JJ. Stuart. The authors are american so it is relevant to USA patients. Lots of interest for people wherever they are in the world as well.

I will look it up Sleepybunny. Thanks. Right now my biggest concern is my shortness of breath. Called a rheumy today. Hope to get down to whats wrong with me. Maybe get a referral to a pulmonologist.

Thank you Sleepybunny!

Thanks for this link, Sleepybunny

I've read only the first few pages but it certainly puts into words very much how I feel about my GP and his, sometimes, flippant attitude towards on-going issues, some of which I consider are likely to be due to B12 being low, out of range, which he feels is 'fine'. When I asked about my high, out of range, Folate level, he commented that I ate too much cabbage!!! So typical of the attitude reflected in this blog. I'm seeing my GP on Friday, ie in 4 days time, having sent him a letter outlining why I feel B12 injections would be appropriate. I will be taking some literature/research with me, along with the link to this blog - telling him that I couldn't put it better!!! ;)

Hopefully, I will get some results ...

Again, many thanks for the link :)
