The best person to advise you is a doctor. Go and ask to have your blood levels of folate measured.

I've not heard of a folate deficiency having such effects. Again, a doctor would be best placed to try and decide a cause.

While you are there ask for a vitamin D test. If you have low B12 due to absorption problems it's possible you could be low in D too.

Low vitamin D can cause bone and muscular pain and some symptoms are common with low B12.

If you end up needing supplemental D they suggest D3 is best and should be combined with supplemental vitamin K2 and foods containing vitamin A.
