Have been diagnosed with PA four years ago and iron deficiency Anemia. Started with daily injections of B12 and followed usual course of tapering off to once a month. Find that Twice is better per month. Had my first injection at physician's office and was told to continue at home. I've been injecting subcutaneously, but wonder if it should be done In the muscle for better results. My housekeeper supplies me with Insulin syringes and they are easy to use--much smaller than what pharmacy supplies. If anyone has information that would help in leaning which way is best to inject, I would appreciate it. Also, may all of you have a Happy, healthy, and Blessed New Year!

From what I've been able to determine nobody has actually done any proper research into IM vs SC. Looking at other drugs the rate of absorption varies - some are better, IM, some SC. But there's never any big difference.

If you're injecting every two weeks then a difference in absorption of a few hours isn't going to mean much overall.

If you're happy with what you're doing then keep up with it.
