Awesome!

Yesterday I had, in the words of my 13 year old, an awesome day!

I went to Go Ape and completed the course with my partner and 2 of our children and am so proud.

I'm posting this mainly to give others encouragement as I have been self injecting every other day since mid June and it has changed my life! I still have symptoms and still have problems with my doctor, but I can enjoy things now that I wouldn't have considered myself capable of doing just a few months ago.

I wish my doctor (who, in April, watched me shuffle into her room and cry like a baby when I was denied more B12 after 4 weeks) had been there to watch me climb rope ladders, pull myself along ropes between trees, step off ledges into nothing and glide down the longest and highest zip wires, landing in a giggling heap at the bottom!

Please everyone, keep fighting for what you need, and if you don't get it then do it yourself!

My children have their mum back - most days ;-)

Jeannie16... This is just so wonderful to read! Your joy springs out of every word and I'm really delighted for you and your family.

I too wish your doctor could have been there to see...in fact I think that every GP in the UK should have been there to see 😀.

Keep the giggling heaps coming....well done.

Hugs xx

oh how wonderful to read your post - it will encourage others - however as another who has shuffled in and cried like a baby it is a long hard road

I know just how you feel, last week I started going to the gym with my sons again for the first time in nearly two years. I went to Go Ape last year, I was determined to do it thinking that with my B12 problems and being 48 it would be my last chance, it was so funny and quite painful, I got some great bruises from falling all the time :-) A year later I feel like I could do it all again and better. And I had to fight and self inject to get myself as well as I am now.
