Drawing up from ampoule

June8sorry your name has disappeared regarding the sting in your thigh, if you are using only one needle to draw up and also inject the medication adheres to the exterior of the needle and is probably causing the problem. The use of two needles one to draw up and the second to inject obviates this.hope this is beneficial also are you injecting deep enough and cleaning sufficiently?I never gave all this much thought as a sister it was all automatic but there are a lot of steps for the uninitiated to follow so it is a step into the unknown and you are all very brave.
