Intrinsic factor abs(levels explained)
Interesting. Very different ref range to lab my doc uses. Different test method??
It's very hard to understand our test results when they don't give us reference ranges.an irish site "beaumont hospital, Ireland" seems to say above 6 is positive. That seems wrong to me( no reference range, just >6.I would assume if there is a number in that column at all, it's positive. But I'm just learning as I go.
Thanks for this
Ok ,so I brought my 19 year old daughter to the doctor today(a different doctor than my own).I wanted to get her bloods checked as I have P.A. also the fact that she gets recurring mouth ulcers and is always tired etc...
Anyway...I asked the doctor about the anti intrinsic abs test .I told her my level came back at 3.4 and the nurse at my practice said everything was negative. She said that anything over 1 is positive, and that my level was quite high.
So finally!...straight from the horses mouth(so to speak)
I am hoping my daughters bloods will be ok.She is also running an anti intrinsic factor abs blood test and anti-parietal cell test.fingers crossed.
