I meant to attach my blood test results this morning but I forgot.I spoke to someone on a Face book page who explained that I should be taking a B vitamin complex to aid the B12 shots absorption, also that my folate was low(Ive started taking Folic acid) also magnesium ,vitamin D and Iron. Hopefully all this will get me back on track.who knew it would be so complicated,I am learning so much.

thanks for all advise and support ( :

Hi Pat,

Its a bit difficult to say much about blood test results with out the ref ranges used for normal by the lab, if your serum Folate is low depends on the labs range of normal, my lab uses as a ref range for normal: Serum folate 2.9 - 16.9 ug/L., so from that your result at 7.0 seems OK ish. I'd just take a multi vitamin as all B vitamins need each other, so it seems to me better to have a multi that includes B6 B1 B2 etc , plus other minerals such as zink etc, best to have them all in balance is what I was told.

Kind regards,

Marre.

That's something new I've learned( different ranges for different labs). No wonder all the confusion.I'm learning so much.I feel better now that I'm getting regular b12(i honestly don't know if some of that is a placebo effect).just having someone listen has helped, I do still feel that the doctors think I'm a looney sometimes.I'mjust trying to get control of my health back.

Thanks for your understanding ear.

Patricia
