Already feeling symptoms are back

Hi, I finished my loading dose on the 19th dec and already feel as if I need another dose as symptoms are creeping back - tiredness, bad painful spots, dry / brittle / wiry /strange hair growth on scalp, ache in hands.

Am new to the site and a new sufferer - is it normal for symptoms to return so quickly??

Hi, I can not rely on the injections I have so I take sublingual (under the tongue) b12 methylcobalamin not the cyanocobalamin as this can give you headache although is cheaper! I take 1000mcg daily to top up the injections I get every 8 weeks. Hope that helps. Superior source is the make I take.

Unfortunately it is very common for people to find that they need B12 much more frequently than the text book/GPs provide shots - especially as the regime of once every 3 months for maintenance in UK doesn't really appear to be based on any hard scientific evidence that anyone has managed to produce.

I find my symptoms start to return within 24 hours of shot so supplement heavily using other sources - includes some injections (is quite simple to source B12 ampoules from outside the UK) though not intramuscular - just subcutaneous. But mainly I use nasal sprays.

Hi Gambit, which nasal spray do you use and where do you get it from? Sorry if you've posted this elsewhere already! Thanks.

My favourite isn't available at the moment - but the company I get it from detox people

detoxpeople.eu/

also do a range of nasal drops - don't find them as easy to use because the 'spray' needs to be slightly inverted but they do the job.

Yes I find the same. After I had my six loading doses symptoms returned after 8wks.I topped up with the spray in the mouth until I could have my 12wkly injection and it worked a treat. I have another 4 wks until my next and I can feel my aches lethargy returning? So it's back to my spray.Give it a try.You can't overdose on B12. Good luck.
