Hi There

I'm new here, My sister in law was diagnosed a year or so ago with Parkinsons 2 so I'm wanting to understand the disease and be part of a support system for her and her family

My wife was diagnosed 21 years ago. We have been through at first a tranquil time when first on medication most would not know she had Parkinson's. As medication increased to allow her to be more stable she developed dyskanesias . After a lengthy period of this it began to have a negative affect on her quality of life. In 2012 she went to Brisbane to have the DBS procedure. This had a major positive effect on her life. Suggest you google Parkinson's Peter Silburn
