Lift chair recommendations?

Hi everyone. My mom and I both have PD. She is almost 80 and she is very shakey and weak. She is a tiny lady, 5' tall and 99 lbs. she is very weak and kind of confused, so complicated controls are overwhelming. Can anyone recommend a good lift chair?

I bought a lift recliner at a used furniture store for under $500. It has been an excellent investment. It is a "Relax The Back" store item. New it cost over $1,800 incl taxes. It has a tethered remote control which is very easy to operate. Check any consignment furniture stores in your area.

Do you mean a chair which takes you up and down stairs or one which lifts you to a standing position?

Sorry for being unclear. She spends most of the day in her recliner. In the recliner she can stumble or have difficulty getting out. She is also very week so the little physical yanking on the recliner necessary to get it in position is getting harder and harder.

I was looking at the lift chairs and thought this might be a good one to check into for your mom. I haven't used them, but I'm considering purchasing a chair also.

Medicare paid for 1/2 of the price for my husbands. But it was the most uncomfortable chair. Make sure the seat is well cushioned because that was the main complaint for his, that the seat was very hard and felt like you were sitting on a board.
