My husband who has PD sleeps most of day and night. Is it meds or PD itself? Appreciate your response.

I'm guessing it is the meds because most PD patients would love to be able to sleep.

Yes. As soon as my husband was put on Sinemet, he went into a deep sleep as if anesthetized and remained like that even at a quarter of the dose. Madopar had the same effect on him. All Parkinson's patients are different and react in different ways to medication.

Mine never seems to have had a problem with Sinemet or his blood pressure drugs. I think it is was antidepressant at the time he did sleep a lot. Once, i took a different blood pressure medication than I use now, and I slept all the time.
