Good Morning! I haven't written on here in some time. I'm going to be having a full mouth teeth extraction done in a month under general anesthesia. I am taking cardilopa-levodopa and mirapax. Has anyone out there gone through the same and what was your outcome? I am nervous and would like some feedback. Thank you.

Teeth Extraction
Not had any dental work done under GA but had a partial nephrectomy 2 years ago and Neurosurgery last year. I am on levodopa, carbidopa & entacapone (Stalevo) and the 2 GAs caused me no problems.
Yes, 3 months ago I had an upper teeth full extraction, done under general anaesthesia. I have PD and take Sinemet. I had no problem. Everything went fine, nothing to be nervous about for me. The Dental Surgeon had been made aware of my medical condition. Good luck!
I had GA without any problems for my hip operation a year and a half ago. Make sure you tell your surgeon and anaesthetist the meds you are taking. Levodopar seems fine but one other one I am taking, the "Azilect", actually has a long list of contraindication including certain anaesthetics and antibiotics. So be sure they check it out thoroughly so they know what not to give you.
