What does everyone do at night time? I usually take four sinemet during the day nothing at night, but now it's getting so bad at nighttime. I have to go tothe bathroom so many times and it's hard to walk. What does everyone do at night? Does everybody take medication at night too? And is the rytary helping anymore?

Rytary does help. Unfortunately for me, having had a gastric bypass it doesn't last as long for me as everyone else. I will say that life is still much better than before the Rytary. It is still sometimes hard for me to move at night and in the morning. Before the Rytary it was impossible.

My spouse takes a pill at 8pm an another when he wakes up again around 1 or 2 in the morning. He, too was having difficulty getting to the bathroom, and also, moving and/or turning in the bed. For safety, he now has a small urinal right next to the bed and the pills allow him to move better. Also, he is more mobile when he wakes up in the morning and is able to get his clothes on with less effort. The pills tend to make him sleepy and that gives him a chance to go back to sleep after waking in the middle of the night. Folks have different reactions to the pills so I'm just speaking for husband. His doctor wasn't really convinced that he needed a nighttime pill but she didn't object when he asked. The pills give him pretty difficult dyskinesia but he needs them for energy and mobility.

I smoke 1 breath of marijuana through a miniature water bong to relieve anxiety, eliminate boredom, and to get back to sleep. If before bedtime, 1.5 mg melatonin (or Nyquil or z-quill on rare occasions).

No meds taken from 6pm to 8am. Urinals by bed and chose small bedroom close to bathroom.

The last sinnamet I take for the day is at 6:30 pm and LDN at 9:00pm . Then start the next day with sinaemet at 6:30AM and every 3hrs. I believe sinaemet residule from daytime last through the night.

Hi Michaela. Your question is wide open for misinterpretation! I assume you mean what do other people do about their Pd symptoms at night? I have the same problem with frequent nighttime urination. Mine is not all the time, it comes and goes. I try now to see that I don't drink too much liquid after 5 pm. That is not the cause, but it does help. Does this happen all the time with you?

Do you do any real exercise and if so, does it help?

The only thing that can reverse your Pd symptoms is regular fast walking. I am sure I have told you about this.

Kind regards

John

Yes John. I am getting bad at night. It's harder to walk. I try to walk and doing exercise but it doesn't seem to help. Becoming discouraged.

I have the same problem. My neuro has given me a trial pack of a patch to use instead of the Myrapex tabs I take along with Stalevo. That is supposed to release the drug for 24 hours. I'm starting the patch today so I can't say yet if it will help at night. But I'll let you know.

I take 3-4 sinemet daily but usuallynone after 5 or 6 PM. The problem is, like you I have to get up during sleep time to go to the bathroom. sometimes, because of instability, it takes me a lot of time to get there even though the bathroom is attached to our bedroom. so I use a cane but sometimes if I'm real unstable in early evening I take one sinemet before bedtime. and although the sinemet doesn't last more than 2 hours of totally effectiveness, there usually remains traces in my body to help stabilize me enough to get there and back to bed without falling.

good luck!

Thank you Dayetist. I am 80 and I had a prostate operation 4 years ago that left me with this problem. I have very little muscle control in that area. Would this product help?
