I did EUS and the GI said I have mild chronic pancreatitis . I had dull pain under right rib cage and hence I got EUS .. GI gave me zenpap to take every meal .. I go to bathroom once in a day .. is zenpap given to alleviate pancreas ? GI said I have gastritis and he put me on pantoprazole 40 mg

My symptoms was more bloating and gas to start ..

Is this chronic nature of pancreas calm down I just started on zenpap last Wednesday

Am non smoker non drinker and vegetarian my entire life .. live in Texas

Zenpep is usually prescribed to replace the enzymes your pancreas would have made in order to digest food, but can't because of damage. It doesn't alleviate pancreatitis (the disease) as much as it's used to alleviate the *symptoms* of pancreatitis. Did you have a fecal elastase test too?
