Hi,I have recently been for an ultrasound which found a 27mm gallstone, I had been having upper gastric pain and back pain with some sickness. The US also saw lipomatosis on my pancreas (fatty pancreas). I went to see a consultant who isnt convinced my pain is caused by my GB and I am now awaiting a CT scan of the pancreas with contrast. I am worried sick. I'm just wondering if anyone else has dealt with similar?
Thanks in advance

hi had both gallstone and pancreatic pain . A ct is much better than ultrasound it’s more precise . My ultrasound didn’t show gallstones . When my pancreas kicks off the pain is central and Into my left side . Gallstones the opposite side. I’ve had my gallbladder removed now so feel better . The ct doesn’t take long . Hopefully you’ll get it done and the results soon .
Not that I’m aware of . I’ve got necrosis and IPMNs and a pseudocyst . Gallstone entered the pancreas killed a 1/3 of it off and left me with pancreatitis . A pseudocyst grew which I’ve had drained but think it’s still there . I take Creon now . touch wood its behaved this year .
I had gallstones with no pain from my gallbladder. I finally felt pain from my pancreas. I don't remember if I had a fatty pancreas. It's good that you have gone to a specialist. Take this one step at a time. Mission: Cure has a lot of great information and thhis is a good place to ask questions.
