I just turned 79 and have been having problems for many years. Gall Bladder was removed about 20 years ago, after that problems eating and having digestion problems. My GI doctor said that I was just getting old and really didn't want to do anything to help me after he removed my gall bladder. I started taking probiotics and that seemed to help. About 5 years ago, while on a 4 hour flight, I started vomitting and couldn't stop. The entire trip was spent in the bathroom, Good thing we were in first class. lol
About 6 months ago, I started having GI problems again so I went to another GI doctor. He did stool test and said I had "borderline" pancreatitis. Borderline? Everyday I have a problem keeping nutrients in my body. I've lost 25 lbs since September this year. I go out to dinner and pray, that I can make it home. I take Creon 3 times a day, breakfast, lunch and dinner. I don't have enough for snacks. About once a week I have a real problem. I have experienced pain and went to the urgent care and was told that it was just gastritis. I have recently had a colonoscopy. All was good. I requested a CT scan with contrast and a comprehensive blood test. That comes up in a couple of weeks. I like the doctor "personally", but professionally, I'm disappointed. I have to ask for every blood test and every scan ( except for the colonoscopy).
That's my story, I sure that many of you are suffering much more.
