Waiting for tests

[Nesting]

Have had upper abdominal pain middle to right side for a while now but recently it’s been radiating to my back and I’ve noticed I’ve lost a stone of Weight without trying

Saw doctor yesterday and had look at stomach but all was fine so he’s booked me in for ultrasound and scope into stomach

Did have blood tests done recently for another issue but they were all fine

It’s just the waiting

Have ultrasound booked for 29 th this month so not long to go but gosh pain getting worse

At least you have a date. But it feels a long way off when you're hurting.

Have you tried clear broth for a couple of days? Sometimes that's about the only thing other than NPO that will relieve the pain.

Some things that help me are very hot baths, a heating pad, and loving pets

Had my ultrasound done , see the consultant on the 12 th this month to get results, But yes the waiting gets me down and have bad feeling about this

One step down.

I know how terribly hard it is to wait. I recently had a bunch of tests done over a period of a month, then had to wait another month to find out what was going on.

It turned out I have Gastroparesis. And as much as I hated to hear that, I was so relieved just to know "Something"

Hello again saw the consultant today My ultrasound scan was clear and also bloods and urine are clear as well , he told me to stay off dr Google and stop self diagnosing but he has referred me for a scope to the stomach and thinks the problem may be there , I was diagnosed with a hiatus hernia the previous scope

Felt like I was in the headmasters office getting trouble but having said that the pain is still there but is reassuring it’s all okay so far

I was also recently diagnosed with a hiatus hernia. I hope the next step brings some answers ♥

Got my appointment for my scope it’s the 8 th November so not long to wait . Have to self isolate for 3 days before hand and take pcr covid test but yes fine to get it done

Great! Each appointment date at least helps to relieve the wondering. I do hope you get some answers. I know the frustration of waiting.
