PC or something else? so scared

Hello everybody.I am new here. I am having very hard times now as I think I have PC and am waiting for tests to rule this out.I(39F) had several months of digestive disturbances ( flatulence, burping, diarrhea) which had no cause revealed.

I was told this could be IBS.

Fast forward to the end of March, I started to have annoying upper/mid back pains..A couple of weeks later I got severe upper abdominal pain referred to the back and left side under the ribs and still having the pain almost everyday esp. after meals.

Now all the symptoms fit in the PC picture.I also noticed some weight loss despite eating normally.

I had a CT scan this week and the result was (Normal, nothing suspicious) as per 3 consultant radiologists..

Now I am waiting for an MRI scan scheduled tomorrow .Hope this also comes clear so I can get some relief after 7 months of suffering.

My question is is it common to have PC which is symptomatic for a long period and missing it on CT scan ? did anyone have an experience like this ?

Hello Sue I am sorry that you have some unresolved health issues. Since the post, I had an MRI and it was normal apart from a liver hemangioma( like birth mark) which is not a cause of concern. I also had endoscopic ultrasound, to see the pancreas clearly and it was also normal. No PC thank God. I was tested for celiac disease and it came back negative. With time my digestive symptoms got a bit better, I no longer have severe pains or diarrhea, burping became much less. I only have some mild cramps and intermittent wind which is tolerable.

I started having nasty hot flushes recently and did some hormone tests and ultrasound and it seems that I am heading into very early/ premature menopause and that it is the cause of all my symptoms.

Oh that’s great news and must of took a lot of anxiety away now!

How funny I also have hemangioma since birth they said 5mm on my liver …

I thought I’d gone through menopause but I also Iam getting hot flushes again at 70 😳😳 that’s another thing I will tell Doc !

I my kids tell me off as I don’t eat very healthy so iam inclined to think my diet doesn’t help me , but Iam a born worrier 🫣

The hospital has certainly given you a thorough investigation.. that’s very good to hear the way our poor old NHS is nowadays !

I take it you live in UK !!

Anyhow all the best and thank you for you quick response to me

I don't live in the UK I am actually from a developing country, and I have all the tests privately and paid a lot for them.
