where are you going? you can hire them for a day from shopmobility schemes - most towns or big shopping malls in the UK have them: shopmobilityuk.org/Shopmobi...

alternatively, you can hire a scooter for a week or so for approx £50 from local mobility shops eg independent-living.co.uk/in...

If you need post codes for some of the more touristy bits of London my OH has suggested the following.

Covent Garden is WC2. Knightsbridge is SW1 or could be SW7. Oxford Street/Bond St is W1

London Bridge - Tower Bridge SE1
