Has anyone had a RFA of the SI joint?

Si joint nerve RFA
Hi Jean
No I haven't had that procedure... wasn't aware it existed. So I looked it up as my s.j joint can be very painful at times. I did have a problem with my hip/back, quite a few years ago and went for scans etc ended up having a guided injection. That, plus physio and exercise classes seemed to work. Sadly since I've had fibro just over 18 months, and not able to do much exercise now etc... so the problems have come back.
I had a quick read of the RFA you mentioned. Not that I know anything it about it but it seems to be something to be considered carefully.
Is it something you are considering?
Stella
Hi Stella. I have had the injections with no relief. I am considering the Raf. Some days I can move with less pain, so I exercise to tolerance. I use cbd oil and have to take daily pain meds which I am not wanting to continue indefinitely. Physical therapy has been somewhat helpful but here in the US is costly. Not sure what I will do as I have so many issues from neck down. I hope there is something helpful for fibromyalgia?
Hi Jean, I can't really offer any advice as I don't know what other issues you have. A lot of people take meds for fibromyalgia which I'd rather not, I try to manage it but I have to take pain killers quite often. I'm also trying other herbal supplements, ..some are better than others. Yesterday I had a good day... today is pants!! Pain just gets you down.
Take care.
